About the doctor

Common questions

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No. You can book directly by call or WhatsApp. Referrals from your physician are of course welcome — bring the referral note and any prior reports.
How do I prepare for an endoscopy?
For an upper GI endoscopy you will usually need an empty stomach for about 6 hours. Colonoscopy requires bowel preparation over the previous day. Exact, personalised instructions are given when your procedure is booked — please follow those.
Is sedation used? Is it safe?
Most procedures are done with sedation for comfort, with monitoring throughout. Tell us about all your medicines (especially blood thinners), allergies, and health conditions when booking so the plan can be made safely for you.
I live outside Guwahati. Can everything be planned in one trip?
Yes — this is routine for us. Share your reports on WhatsApp in advance, and the consultation, tests and procedure can usually be coordinated to minimise your travel and stay.
What should I bring to the consultation?
All previous prescriptions and reports (endoscopy, scans, blood tests), a list of current medicines, and any referral note. Photos of reports on your phone are fine.
Which languages are spoken?
Consultations are available in English, Hindi and Assamese.
